Who We Are

The history of Covenant Church International Ministries began in the summer of 1991. It was then that a young couple of ministers from Ukraine, Vitaly, and Nadezhda Kogan, came to Siberia to preach the Gospel. It was the time when the USSR collapsed, and a deep spiritual hunger opened the multitudes of people’s hearts for Jesus.

Very soon a local evangelical church was established in the capital of Siberia. It rapidly grew and developed. The Lord not only added to the church those who were being saved but also brought strong teachers and speakers ready to nurture young followers of Jesus.

Over 30 years, the ministry expanded, and new churches, charities, and rehabilitation centers were opened. There have been countless evangelizations, kids and teen activities, and training programs. Over the years, more than 25,000 people have accepted Christ into their hearts and more than 30 churches have been planted.

At the same time, Vitaly and Nadezhda received a call from the Lord to serve in Ukraine. So, in the 2010s, a church and “House of Hope” for children without parental care were established in Odessa, and the ministry turned out to be international.

In today's world, most can freely choose their couture of residence, and as a result, there is a large number of people from the former Soviet Union living all over the world. There are also many of those whose life is closely connected with the Covenant Church in various places now.

God has led Vitaly and Nadezhda to assemble a team of young ministers whose hearts are burning with a desire to bring the Good News to people who speak Russian and live in different countries across the world.

Today, the heart of CCIM is a team of more than 20 people. We live in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Moldova, and Uzbekistan, speak Russian, Ukrainian, and English, and seek to see the Gospel preached amongst Russian-speaking people across the face of the earth.
